BLENDED BURGER PROJECT

 

We are a recent entry in the contest by the James Beard Foundation that encourages chefs to create a burger that has at least a quarter of the meat replaced with mushrooms. Ours is of course completely meat free.

The patty is a blend of mushrooms, brown rice, black beans and walnuts which is smoked then grilled.

The burger is topped with tempeh bac’n, cashew cheese, pickles and BBQ mayo, on a savory bun – all house made.
